What is Needed to Become Professional Tennis Player
It is very difficul to become professional tennis player. There are different ways to become professional tennis player, but they all have in common certain components which have to be fulfilled. These mix consist of :
- child¨s talent
- family support
- quality tennis coach
- quality training/competing environment,
- and little bit of luck
There were certain players who became professionals and did not have this mix, but they are exceptions, and an exceptions just confirms the rule.
Now, I will just give an introduction to each of the components, in more details I will discus in following posts.
Child¨s Talent
As tennis depends a lot on coordination, and coordination is mostly (80-90 %) inborn characteristic: one who has no sufficient coordination has no chance to become professional tennis player.
Family Support
Tennis as a sport is very demanding (technically, tactically, physically and mentally), and a child on the path to become a tennis professional needs support of his/her family. This child becomes the centre of the family life, and he/she demands sacrifice of the rest of family members
Quality Tennis Coach
One of the components of this mix is a quality tennis coach because only very competent tennis coach can set child on right track where she/he can have chance one day to become tennis professional
Quality Training/Competing Environment
A child can develop up to his/her capabilities if he/she has everything one needs on the path to become tennis professional: quality tennis equipment, enough hours on indoors and outdoors tennis court, conditioning coach, psychologist, doctor , masseur, nutritionist. For all these one has to have enough money to pay for, and enough wisdom to recognize quality
A Little Bit of Luck
No amount of luck will help if mix of all these components is not met. When I mention luck, I mean that a child stays healthy , and something out of ordinary does not happen which one has no influence on.
